Note on the Country Inn and Suites: This is the closest hotel to the tournament. The area of town is OK. However, there is an establishment of ill repute across the highway from this hotel. My family stayed in it several times fifteen years ago and it was OK.
It can also be hard to get to when headed east from Charlotte requiring a U-Turn on the Hwy-74 or turning left on Stallings Rd and then left on Stevens Mill Rd.
However, there is a way to avoid Hwy 74 when going to the tournament from this motel.
